New member here! I just wanted to post this here.

The other day, Pete did a standard color strip with a gorgeous line-art image right in the middle of it.

I can't resist line art. I copied the image, cropped it down to just the lineart, then colored it. Like a coloring book, but with my computer. So much fun.

a wee thought whilst knitting VoK a Jayne Cobb hat
i don't really care for wool 'cause it's all scratchy & stuff, but i have to say, there's a certain neat feeling to knitting with it on bamboo needles... feel all Down-Home-y or something ;)

I'm currently undertaking a project for a friend of mine rustydragonfly, making her a plushie version of her signiture creature, the Leopard Corgi. It's been ages since I made a stuffed toy (last one I made was a strange wolf-fish creature for the furartxchange which has sadly closed since).

Of course I will post some photos of the creation when it's finished, but would anyone be interested in a quick 'how-to' with in progress shots? I'm not sure how interesting making stuffed toys really is, but if anyone wants to know how I go about it then I'd be happy to help! :)

Just thought I'd post this picture of a gifty I made for my mother's birthday on the 19th. I purchased a small round of brie for my mother for her birthday & since I know that she also loves poinsettias, I crocheted this one from a potholder pattern. Worked it up in sport weight yarn & improvised on the last five rows or so, wove in some green elastic... et voila! Cover for the brie that converts to a Christmas Doily ^_^

Ok, more blatant tooting of my horn... ;)

Thought i'd take a picture of the aforementioned soap saver that i'm going to be crocheting as well.

Ok, so i have settled upon making crocheted soap savers (with a cake of my homemade soap inside, of course!) and knitted dishcloths for the kids' teachers this year. Only problem is, i can't decide which dishcloth design to use. i've worked up 3 possible designs & i was wondering if i could get people's opinions on which they think would be best or should i use 'em all, or what.

Pictures are here & here & here.

Many Thanks in advance! ^_^

I created this journal because there are a bunch of artsy-crafty people on my friends list and I thought it would be nice to have a place where we can show our projects off, discuss all the ins and outs of our creative endeavors, and ask for input or help. Please keep your comments polite, use lj cut tags when posting large pictures and no spam.
